One of the most practical recovery accessories you can have is a Mean Mother 48″ High Lift jack. It can be used in situations where it is necessary to lift, winch, clamp, pull and push.
They are useful in lifting a vehicle clear from obstacles that come into contact with the underbody. By lifting the vehicle holes can be filled or articles such as rocks, wood or sand tracks can be positioned to assist in creating traction for the wheels.
– Total height 48″ (122cm)
– Minimum lowered height 110mm
– Maximum lifting height 1020mm
– Working Load Limit (WLL) 1500kg
– Jack complies with mandatory requirements of AS/NZS2693:2007
* This jack requires lubrication prior to use. Failure to lubricate may impact on the function of this jack. High Lift Jacks are often stored in positions where they are exposed to rain and salt. Regular cleaning and lubrication is required to ensure they are in safe working order. Failure to do so may result in a lifting mechanism failure.

Minimum Breaking Strength (MBS)
It is recommended that the minimum breaking strength of the strap/rope should be between 2 and 3 times the vehicle’s gross vehicle mass (GVM) *GVM means the maximum loaded mass (including the vehicle’s chassis, body, engine, engine fluids, fuel, accessories, driver, passengers and cargo) of a vehicle as specified by the vehicle manufacturer on a plate affixed to the vehicle or assessed by the road authorities in the absence of a plate.
When using a snatch strap/rope carefully follow the safety guidelines set out in the instruction sheet included with each kit.
When used in accordance with the “Guidelines for safe use of vehicle Recovery Straps”, vehicles may be recovered with minimal risk of injury to people or damage to vehicle equipment.
All Mean Mother Kinetic Snatch Ropes are made from quality nylon webbing with 30% elongation. All our ropes meet Australian standards.
Also known as a damper or recovery blanket, they are one of the most important safety accessories you can own.
Designed to eliminate the whipping action of a strap or winch cable in the event of a failure, they reduce the possibility of personal injury and vehicle damage. The damper comes in a high visibility safety orange with reflective tape for both day & night use.
To install, simply fold the dampener over the strap or cable and position midway between the vehicle and recovery strap.
• 4.7 tonne working load limit • Fits 2″ hitch receiver • Bow shackle rated to 4.7 tonne |
Shackles are an essential recovery item and you can never have too many of them. They are most commonly used to attach recovery straps, tree trunk protectors, winch extension straps & snatch blocks. The larger 4.7 tonne shackles are best suited to electric winch recovery situations.
High visibility.
Max capacity 4700kg
Size: 19mm pin 4.7T
W.L.L. compliant with AS/NZS 2741.2002 load requirements.
* A shackle’s break point is six times the WLL (working load limit) when compliant with the standard.
TIP: To avoid seizing the screw pin, its always a good idea to back off about 1/2 to 1 turn after fully hand tightening. Shackle pins can seize due to the force exerted during recovery operations.
Before use: Inspect shackles before and after use for any damage. If pins are hard to turn or the shackle has been overstressed, it should be immediately replaced.
Caution: Shackles can become a lethal missile if something should break or fail during a recovery. Ensure that all spectators are well clear and all recovery lines have a dampening blanket on them (Refer page 41). Never load a shackle across its width because the load will be imposed on the threads. The force must be at right angles to the pin.
Our 11,000kg five piece recovery kit has been developed for those who demand more from their 4WD experience. Based on the popular five piece standard recovery kit, the premium kit upgrades to an 11 tonne snatch strap and two 5 tonne heavy duty bow shackles, as well as the new look recovery bag to store it all in.
Having a fully stocked and properly maintained recovery kit is an essential accessory for any 4WD enthusiast. It is very important to have quick and easy accessibility to all your recovery equipment. Each Mean Mother recovery kit has been carefully tailored to include the correct equipment for most recovery situations. Ideally suited to the 4WD adventurist who may or may not have a winch fitted to their vehicle. The 5 piece kit requires the assistance of another vehicle to complete a snatching recovery.
All Mean Mother snatch straps are tested to meet the highest quality and strength standards. They are manufactured from 100% treated nylon webbing with reinforced eyelets to prolong operational life. Similar to a rubber band, a snatch strap being stretched between two vehicles generates a kinetic energy pulling force as the strap returns to its original length. The combination of the recovery vehicle pull and the pulling force from the strap creates a “snatching” effect that can heave a stranded vehicle free from being bogged or unable to move under its own power.
Note! When using a snatch strap carefully follow the safety guidelines set out in the instruction sheet included with each kit.
When used in accordance with the “Guidelines for safe use of vehicle Recovery Straps”, vehicles may be recovered with minimal risk of injury to people or damage to vehicle equipment.
All Mean Mother snatch straps are made from quality nylon webbing with 20% elongation. All our snatch straps meet Australian standards.
