This is our standard replacement universal joint that go in all of our 2, 3.5 and 4.5tonne couplings (Drop-On and Automatic). We have made sure to use a reliable type of universal joint, that is greasable and one that is also easy to obtain. Do you know how we know that these are near unbreakable?
These are the same uni joints that Toyota Landcruisers have been running for years, in conditions that are far more extreme than what we are utilising them for. So you can have peace of mind knowing that these will probably last longer than the trailer itself.

McHitch 6 TONNE Automatic Coupler
The Big Boy, Our largest coupling we make, capable of a huge 6 tonne capacity, to replace pintle and rings and others for use on large, heavier scale equipment.
This 6 Tonne coupling takes a 1&1/4″ threaded shank. (May need to enlarge existing 7/8″ tow tongue hole to 1&1/4″).
Fully ADR 62/02 tested and compliant.
* A super low height of 125mm at its highest point. This is lowest coupling on the market.
*Capable of over 90 degrees of movement on every axis.

McHitch 4.5 TONNE “Easy Fit” Caravan Automatic Coupler
This is the newest coupling we have to offer, the same physical size and footprint as the 3.5 tonne, but now with upgraded parts like the hi-tensile chromoly shaft, a 7/8″ and 1-1/4″ shank stud are included as well as a set of 9/16″ hi-tensile bolts. This now capable and ADR approved to a huge 4.5 tonne capacity! It has a standard bolt hole pattern for ease of fitment. Due to the larger diameter bolts, the nuts may have to be mounted on top, with the bolt head underneath.
Fully ADR 62/02 tested and compliant.

The bolt hole dimensions (centre to centre) are a standard size of 185mm x 55mm, can easily be manipulated slightly due to the holes being elongated.

McHitch Drop On Coupler Lock Pin
This is our more economical locking and securing pin that features a 304 stainless steel construction, a snap on rubber weatherproof cap to protect the insides of the lock, two keys and a securing clip. A dual-purpose pin that can be used through the body of any McHitch Drop-On coupling, as well as used through the drawbar on any square mouth receiver.
Additionally, this lock can also be used as an antitheft lock while your camper is parked up, locking this pin through a face of the hitch. As a bonus, this pin can be used to lever the top of the Aluminium heads on our Platinum Drop-On Couplings, to tighten and loosen.

McHitch FORGED 7/8″ hole Tow Tongue (4 inch drop)
At McHitch we have developed our own special, FORGED CHROMOLY,
tow tongues! These are the toughest tongues on the market by far. They come in two sizes that can also be inverted! For Rangers, Pajero Sport & models with short towbar receivers.
2 inch and 4 inch.
Finished in quality black gloss powdercoat, this tongue features a standard 7/8″ hole size to suit our standard 3.5tonne tapered pins, and our automatic receivers (the same shank size as the standard ball coupling).
These tongues are rated to a massive 4.5tonne capacity with a max A-frame weight of 450kg.
These are a standard fit into any Hayman Reese type square receiver with a 2 inch opening.

McHitch 6T Tapered Towpin (standard)
This tapered tow pin by McHitch Couplings is a fit for our 6 tonne Drop-On Platinum couplings. It features a 50mm shank and will fit standard tow tongues as well as weight distributing heads.
Quality 304 stainless steel construction comes with spring washer and nut. Remember, no grease is needed on these pins because no movement is placed upon them. Has a larger thread size of 1 – 1/4″ diameter, so the hole in either the tow tongue or Weight Distributing Head may have to be enlarged. They never wear out or rust!
